Archives: 2010/2

I was recently contemplating cycles. They are some of the things I love about living in the northeast and on an island in particular; the seasons, the tides, the sound of the waves. After a busy year and visiting as many friends and family as possible over the holidays, January brings with it a welcome calm, a time to regroup and just enough time for a little adventure before the cycle begins again. I find these adventures, the pauses in between, are not only chances to reboot, but opportunities to grow, to challenge myself and as a photographer to take a step back from my work and come at it again with fresh eyes. A year ago today, I started Hebrew classes in Tel Aviv. Two years before that I backpacked through Guatemala. This morning I am sitting in JFK awaiting the first of three flights which will eventually land me in Maui for a month (a little proof reading and a few additions from San Francisco). I might be a little slower returning calls and emails this month, but not to worry I will be in touch.

In the meantime here is a little something from last year in Tel Aviv.
